The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

This year marks our 100th anniversary! Rooted in the movement that secured the right to vote for women, the League has worked to foster civic engagement and enhance access to the vote since 1920. Our work has evolved from efforts to gain and foster women's suffrage to ensuring that all eligible voters have the opportunity and information they need to exercise their right to vote.

An Informed Voter is a Powerful Voter

We are committed to providing fair, nonpartisan candidate forums that are open to the general public. Recordings of our 2020 forums are posted below. We also did a series of Conversations With Candidates, with shorter interviews of individual candidates; these listings appear after the forums in each county. (We chose this option when other reasons prevented us from doing a forum, including an opponent declining to participate or time constraints.)
